Death Cafe
Join us for a Death Café — a space for open conversation about death and dying over tea.
February 26, Thursday 7:00 PM Boston / 4:00 PM San Francisco Online · Free · Language: Russian
What is Death Café
Death Café is an international movement founded by Jon Underwood in 2011 (learn more at deathcafe.com). At Death Cafés, people gather to drink tea, eat cake, and discuss death.
The objective is not to reach conclusions, but to create space for a conversation about a topic we usually avoid.
Important:
-
This is not therapy and not a grief support group
-
There's no agenda, no assignments, and no professional counseling
-
It's simply a space for honest exchange of thoughts, stories, fears, and reflections
How the Session Will Work
-
90 minutes online via Zoom
-
Up to 12 participants for intimacy
-
We'll break into smaller groups for deeper conversation
-
Facilitators hold the space, but conversation flows freely
-
Topics can be anything: fears about the end, rituals, meaning of life, even humor
-
Bring tea and something tasty—it's part of the tradition!
-
Confidentiality: What's discussed stays between participants.
